Realtime Monitoring
Farmers will be able to make transparent decisions about their flocks’ health and well-being thanks to the Mlit solution, which will supply them with massive volumes of data. It is made up of a network of battery-powered wireless sensors that collect real-time data on environmental and performance aspects in poultry houses. This comprises the weight of the bird, as well as air pressure, humidity, temperature, and carbon dioxide levels. The data is then pushed straight into an artificial intelligence-driven analytics platform, resulting in data that is simple to understand.
Data Management in poultry
According to a poultry industry expert, sharing and analysing data at the farm level and beyond can provide fresh insights that improve bird health and profitability on layer farms.
According to Ch srinivas, CEO of Mlit Solutions, poultry companies may better evaluate a farm’s performance by using data on mortality, body weight, egg size, and overall production.
Companies can compare information across farms within a business, against countrywide data, or even against breeds around the world, using farm intelligence tools like the Poultrymon remote monitoring system. This gives producers a clearer picture of how their operations stack up — and where there might be hidden health issues that need to be addressed.
Death rate spiking due to Lighting issue
The broiler sector has a wide range of lighting programmes. For the first three days, the lighting programme for chicks at placement is typically 23 hours of light at 3.0 ftc (30 Lux) or higher. Bird activity is proportional to light intensity, meaning that as the light intensity rises, so does their activity. During brooding, light intensity should not fluctuate more than 20% from the brightest to the darkest spot in the house, and this is more important during the brooding stage than the rest of the grow-out. Efforts should be made to encourage chick movement during the first three days so that they can explore for and learn where food, water, and heat sources are available. With poultryman you can get remote monitoring as a hustle free solutions which decreases the death rate of chicks
Anomalies in temperature
Chicks can’t adjust their body temperature until they hatch, therefore they rely on the temperature of the house and the floor. The chicks will be warm if the home and floor temperatures are warm; if these temperatures are too cool, the chicks will be cool. Because the majority of the heat is delivered to the floor, radiant brooders are ideal for heating broiler houses. The brooders should be installed and run at the manufacturer’s recommended height, but radiant brooders are typically operated at six feet or higher, depending on the model. Temperature profiles differ from breed to breed and company to firm, but they typically begin at 93°F. Poultryman is one stop solution for temperature monitoring issue,
Monitoring moisture and air quality
The purpose of minimum ventilation during the brooding period is to control moisture and air quality. Whether the house is using fresh shavings or used litter, the house has to be ventilated from Day 1. The goal is to keep the relative humidity (RH) between 40-60%. If the RH gets above 70%,litter quality will deteriorate rapidly resulting in increased ammonia production and incidence of footpad dermatitis. Our lit solutions developed poultryman smart monitoring for all such parameters.
